My Creative Critical Reflection

This was my Creative Critical Reflection about my film the AfterParty. The film was supposed to be a comedy film. Two African American students agreed to host a party on at their school without permission. While our main goal is to appeal as many people as we can, we wanted to have a larger appeal to the "black" audience. Therefore, we use slang frequently throughout the film. Moreover, this is a brief overview. The video will provide more depth.   I apologize for the stuttering by the way. I was trying to adjust to making and performing oral speeches.

My Final Film: The AfterParty

This is the final draft of our film. We tried our best to make the film as comedic as possible. There were numerous times where we had to reshoot some scenes. However, we didn't plan properly. Therefore, some shots may have visible errors. Other than that, me and my film crew had fun making this movie.

First Draft

This is the first draft of our film. I'll admit it was not perfect, but it's just a start. Soon me and my team will edit the video and make improvements. However, this draft introduces the characters and their personalities to the audience, hopefully clearly.

Pre- Production: Defining the Setting

The setting of the entire film takes place at a school. The students is going to discuss their plan about the party during the afternoon. Afternoon was the ideal time of the day because this was the most realistic time in which the students would communicate. Moreover, the lighting from the sun is going to complement a joyous tone.   The location of the film takes place in both inside and outside the school. Scenes are going to be shot in both the hallway and outside. Also, we intend to use a lot of lighting in both settings. However, the time of day will alter when the characters are in the hallway. When they are in the hallway, the time of day would be evening.
