On another assignment, me and my team did a storyboard on camera framing. On that assignment, we had to draw out what different examples of camera framing. What makes this assignment different is that we had to make a slide presentation. Moreover, in the presentation there were inclusions of definitions and purposes of the shots. The goal of the assignment was to show if we know what camera framing is and how does its elements contribute to a film's shot.
On the slide above, we talked about a point of view, (POV) shot. In the shot, a young boy is trying to draw a Chinese S because he believes it is actually Chinese. The shot was supposed to show what the character is looking at. Moreover, the character is looking at the paper he is drawing the symbol on. Furthermore, the genre of the shot is drama.
The shot above was an example of an over the shoulder shot. The shot is taken behind one of the characters to show the expressions on the other's face. Both characters got into a debate on who was better at sports. As a result, both characters said witty and condescending verbal attacks against each other. Furthermore, the genre of the shot is drama.
